Rs 60 lakhs provided to supply of looms & accessories to 243 passing out trainees from 12 Handloom Training Centre and 12.60 lakhs released as stipend to 420 trainees under 12 Handloom Training Center and 1 for Handloom Training Institute in the last two years. In the first batch 30 trainees are being imparted training under central sponsored scheme SAMARTH in one center and remaining five center’s training will be commenced from the end of this year. Rs.802.49 lakhs has been provided to implement the project Capacity Building programme using ICT tools and technology to enhance livelihood of weavers/artisans of BTC in Kokrajhar and Baksa districts targeting 5000 of weavers/artisans under MeitY, GOI. Rs.15 lakhs was provided for up gradation of 12 Handloom Training Centers and 1 no. Handloom Training institute.

Rs 49 lakhs was released and distributed 196 fly shuttle frame looms & accessories to individual weavers of Model Villages, Rs 120 lakhs released and distributed 320 fly shuttle frame looms & accessories with Jacquard to individual weavers, Rs 458.532 lakhs released and distributed 1 bundle of grey cotton yarn to 19,512 individual weavers, Rs 100 lakhs released and distributed 9,352 blankets to individual weavers.

Rs. 7 lakhs was provided as a working capital to 7 Handloom Production Center and 9 nos of Weavers’ Extension Service Unit and produced 36,522.69 mts of handloom fabric and Rs.31, 15,143.00 lakhs received as sale value of fabric in last two years.

Constructions of two new office buildings are taken up at Gossaigaon and Bijni at a cost of Rs.2.85 crore and Rs. 2.66 crore respectively. An amount of Rs. 2 crore is expanded during this year. The office buildings are expected to be completed by 2022-23

an amount of Rs 9.50 crore has been provided for construction of 6 Common Facility Center and implementation of Cluster Development Programme in 25 clusters under Bodoland Handloom Mission, a total of 93,344 weavers are enrolled out of 3,12,532 weavers of BTR under the state Govt. Flagship programme Swanirbhar Nari

The department extended financial assistance of Rs 2.50 lakhs as cash award to five Best Weavers of five districts of BTR and Rs45.28 lakhs was sanctioned by different banks to 102 weavers under central sponsored scheme “Weaver’s Mudra Loan.”

4 district level expo, 6 state expo have been organized by BRAWFED, Kokrajhar with financial support of Development Commissioner of Handloom, Govt. of India and earned Rs.439.00336 lakhs from sale proceed, Rs.9 lakhs was provided to BRAWFED for participation in exhibition at Athiabari Mahaotsav, Barpeta Road, Craft & Food Mela in Kalashetra and Nazira Granth Mahotsav and 237 Handloom weavers are enrolled under Central Govt. sponsored scheme Handloom Mark for enhance the brand value, Aronai, the pride of the Bodos, the first time shipments were dispatched to other states of India by the department and for Mega Handloom Cluster, Rs 10.00 lakhs was provided for implementation of Mega Handloom Cluster.

As welfare scheme, 924 weavers were covered through PMJJBY/PMSBY Yojana for the current year

The Karigaon Model Hospital in Kokrajhar district has been completed and functioning.
