The profile of ICDS in BTC area is as follows: • No of ICDS projects-24 • No of partial ICDS partial project-17 • Total sanctioned post of AWW-6960 • Total sanctioned post of AWW (Mini)-454 • Total sanctioned post of AWH-6960 • Total Anganwadi Centre in Kokrajhar district-2027 • Total Anganwadi Centre in Chirang district-1079 • Total Anganwadi Centre in Baksa district-1489 • Total Anganwadi Centre in Tamulpur district-1003 • Total Anganwadi Centre in Udalguri district-1816. • The department distributed e-rickshaw to differently abled beneficiaries for their livelihood under Manab Seva Mission. • BTC authority in Social Welfare department signed a MoU with IIRDA to support in education, research and training exclusively for differently abled persons in BTR. • Rehabilitation grants under “Deen Dayal Divyangyan Punorsansthapan Achoni” extended to 86 differently abled persons of BTC • Under “Deen Dayal Divyangyan Pension Achoni”, 14,750 differently abled persons of BTC were given pension • Scholarship given to 320 general differently abled students of BTC and 1 differently abled person provided scholarship under Medical and Technical Students.

Water Resources Department Projects and Schemes 2020-2022

• In addition to B.T.C. plan under Water Resources Department, several schemes executed like anti erosion works, embankment and river training works under SDRF, SOPD, NABARD etc. • In the financial years 2020-21 & 2021-22 31 Nos. of S.D.R.F. schemes have physically been completed which were sanctioned from Revenue Deptt. of which total amount is Rs. 3271.66 L. • In the same financial years 2020-21 & 2021-22, 1 No. of NABARD, RIDF-XXV schemes have physically been completed which was sanctioned from NABARD for an amount of Rs.130.00L. • In the same financial years 2020-21 & 2021-22, 14 Nos. of NABARD, RIDF-XXVI schemes have physically been completed which were sanctioned from NABARD for amount of Rs.2150.00L. • In the financial years 2020-21 & 2021-22, 2 Nos. of SOPD-G schemes have physically been completed which were sanctioned from STATE Govt. for total amount of Rs.3587.17 L. • In the financial years 2020-21 & 2021-22, 2 Nos. of SOPD-FDR schemes have physically been completed which were sanctioned from STATE Govt. for a total amount of Rs.99.17L. • In the financial year 2020-21, 57 Nos. of SOPD-BTC schemes have physically been completed which were sanctioned from BTC Govt. for total amount of Rs.1690.51 L • In 2021-22, 6 Nos. of schemes of amount Rs. 169.14 L have sanctioned from BTC Govt. and all the schemes were physically been completed.

Information and public relations department

Initiated

For general and urgent information to public, there are 138 active Fixed Loud Speaker (FLS) in all district and sub divisional head quarters through which the announcement of government programmes and important information is made for the interest of public. Apart from this, it plays Regional News through FLS in a regular manner. Under the programme of Press Tour, the department has conducted exposure tour for the working journalists of BTR to gather knowledge and sharing views with the government officials and journalists of other state from time to time. In this financial year 2022-23 too, the department has budget allocation for press tour. For facilitating accommodation to media persons for assigning works, holding press meet and meetings, the department has constructed Press Club at District and Sub-divisional headquarters. During the financial year 2021-22 Chirang District Press Club at Kajalgaon and Tamulpur Press Club at Tamulpur were constructed which is now nearing completion.

• Wi-Fi installation in all district press club offices. • Digital and Social Media Brand Promotion for BTC to highlight the projects/ schemes and government programmes taken up by various departments through different electronic medias. • Outdoor Branding and Advertising to display the schemes/projects taken up by the government to general masses through hoardings. • Production of audio and video contents. • Advertisement inserts in magazine, newspapers etc. to bring all government agendas to focus for public. • Procurement and installation of LED Display Screen of 10x6 sqr. feet in size. • Observation of important days and fairs • Exposure tour for media persons and interaction programme with other state’s media persons regarding modern journalism in other states • Designing and installation of upgraded FLS system through internet networking with audio and video facilities to be integrated with the existing FLS system • Continuation of publication of monthly newspaper “Bodoland Laithun” • Publication of special supplement on achievement of BTR government • Publication of Achievement Book of BTR government.

The department constructed 2 storied office building of Assistant Director, ECS & CA at Bijni in Chirang. • Under National Food Security Act.-2013, AAY Category 24,6226 beneficiaries are given 35 Kg. of rice per FIC per month at Rs.3/- and PHH category 18,60,329 beneficiaries are given 5 Kg. of rice per head per month in BTR • Under PMGKAY, AAY and PHH category beneficiaries are getting 5 kg extra rice per head per month free of cost. • Under “Aamar Dukan’’ scheme, 508 nos Aamar Dukan are functioning in BTR and Govt. has provided one time financial assistance to the selected Aamar Dukan @ Rs. 66225/- per Aamar Dukan shop.

1. The department has been emphasizing on construction of Cultural Halls/Open Stages at village level, likewise 10 nos. of such construction has been done successfully during the year 2021-22. 2. The “Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma Award”, 2021-22 has been conferred to renowned Bodo melody singer. Sri Anil Brahma. The award carried of Rs.2.00 lakhs along with a citation, memento and a Aronai for his contribution in the field of art & culture. 3. 20 nos. of old & ailing artists of BTC region have been felicitated with a cash award of Rs.20,000, certificate and Aronai under the schemes “Grants-In-Aid to Old & Ailing Artists” for their contribution in the field of Art & Culture during the year 2021-22. 4. 40 individual artists & NGOs working in the field of development of art & culture have been provided financial assistance under the scheme “Grants-In-Aid to Individual Artist & NGO” during the financial year 2021-22.
