Introduce “Root Trainer Technology” in nursery through Soil to Silk project under NERTPS. 8. Established Amber Charkha Spinning Unit at Udalguri and Baksa,BTC.(7) 9. Estd. Silk printing and proceesing unit at Kokrajhar. 10. Adoption of mechanization on-farm & non-farm sector by introducing modern technologies. 11. To promote the marketing, Sericulture Department has Launched Brand in the name of “Bodoland Silk” . 12. Tapioca newly introduced in BTC and already total 12500 numbers tapioca farmers survey is completed and documentation has been done. 13. At the beginning of Directorate of Sericulture BTC during 2004-05 the Raw Silk Production was 150 MT and it is increased up to 1476 MT during 2021-2022. 14. Bodoland Sericulture Mission

Departmental Projects

Initiated

BTC going to implement one Mega projects that is “Bodoland Sericulture Mission”. Considering the immense scope for income and employment generation, It is proposed to cover 40000 silkworm rearers and 10000 weavers, by subsuming all ongoing projects and also bringing new schemes under one umbrella called Bodoland Sericulture Mission with a larger goal of quadrupling farm income within next 4 years. The average per capita family income is expected to enhance up to Rs. 150000 per annum by 2025-26 from existing Rs. 69,000/-. It will generate estimated revenue of Rs. 750 Cr. per annum for 50000 beneficiaries. The mission is proposed to work in the entire value. The total financial outlay of the project is estimated at Rs. 1241.00 Crore, which are being funded by Central Silk Board (255.5 Cr), APART (100.00 Cr), MSME (219.63 Cr), RKVY (40.00 Cr), DC (Handloom) (382.60Cr), Tourism Dept. (62.00 Cr), DONER (50.00 Cr), NEHHDC (33.84 Cr) and BTC share (98.00 Cr).

In respect to projects under SDP to be funded by Ministry of DoNER, Govt. of India, IMC (Inter Ministerial Committee) in its meeting held on 18-01-2022 has recommended 3(three) projects amounting to Rs.25000.00 Lakhs for implementation. BTC has submitted the DPRs of the following projects to WBD, Govt. of Assam for approval of SLSC and thereafter onward submission to M/DoNER, Govt. of India through T&D Department, Govt. of Assam. 1. GRANTS TO BTC FOR INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

During the financial year 2022-23, an amount of Rs. 15000.00 Lakhs (Rupees One hundred fifty crore) has been provisioned in the budget of Govt. of Assam as “Grants to BTC for Infrastructure Development” under Grant No. 78. BTC has decided to implement the following projects under Grants to BTC for Infrastructure Development- 1. Construction of EM Quarter (G+5) at BTC, Kokrajhar (20 Units) under Grants to BTC for Infrastructure Development. Rs. 4607.65 L (The project has already been concurred financial concurrence from Finance Department, GoA) 2. Construction of MCLA Quarter (G+5) at BTC, Kokrajhar (30 Units) under Grants to BTC for Infrastructure Development. Rs. 5160.89 (The project has already been concurred financial concurrence from Finance Department, GoA.) 3. Construction of State Guest House at Adabari, Kokrajhar. 4. Construction of C-Block at BTC Secretariat.

Initiated

1. As per VC held on 19.10.2022, ADGP(SB) informed that list of 3969 Martyrs received from BTC is being verified by Spl. Branch. GoA was requested to complete verification process at the earliest. 2. As per Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy of GOI, a fixed deposit of Rs Four Lakhs each would be kept for surrendered ultras for three years. Total 2774 surrendered NDFBs were give ex- gratia amounting to Rs. four lakhs each at Baksa on 5th Dec.’ 2021 and Kokrajhar on 6th Dec.’ 2021 . However. 1429 surrendered NDFBs were given ex-gratia earlier. 3. As per the minutes of VC held on 19-10-2022, ADGP (SB) informed that 263 cases( 432 persons)recommended for withdrawal by State Level Committee and 88 cases has been dropped and rest of the cases are being pursued. GoA to complete the process at the earliest. 4. As per the discussion at VC held on 11-8-2021, all Bodo Youths including surrendered NDFB cadre who are eligible will be considered for recruitment. It stated that around 2000 Cadres have already been granted training at various locations.
