On March 16, 2022, the CEM, BTC launched the programme for survey of Non-Cadastral (NC) villages using specialized drones. Drone survey has been completed in 36 NC villages barring the villages which are either notified forest village or claimed by Forest department. The exercise of ground Truthing is going on for the villages which have been surveyed by drone and this will be followed by digitization of maps, land records preparation and patta distribution. The initiative will benefit more than 50,000 families residing in the villages bordering Bhutan.
