star 4.8

Departmental Projects

Initiated

Mahila Lakhpati Kisaan Initiative: The need to bring more focus into rural livelihood promotion anchored by the CBO platforms and supported by an ecosystem of professional services has led to the Mahila Lakhpati Kisaan initiative. Under this initiative, 100 resource districts from across many Indian states have been selected for the demonstration of strategies. For Assam, the ministry (MoRD) has recognized all 5 BTR districts as resource districts. Promotion of All-women Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs): The occurrence of a group of people sharing a common interest is known as collective action. All of these collectives are generally made up of farmer producers who make goods before marketing them, hence the term “farmer producer organizations” has come to describe all of these collectives (FPO).
